Advanced Tech Triumph at ATS Expo 2024
The largest industrial fair in the country, "Advanced Technology Solution (ATS) Expo 2024," is currently being held at the Bashundhara International Convention City in Dhaka. This three-day event is organized by Walton, a leading electronics company in Bangladesh.
At the expo, over 50,000 international standard industrial materials, components, services, and testing solutions produced in Walton’s state-of-the-art manufacturing plants are on display.
On December 5, the expo was inaugurated at the Rajdarshan hall of the convention city by Mohammad Abdur Rahman Khan, Chairman of the National Board of Revenue. Other notable attendees included Mahmoodul Hasan, Chairman of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, Jin Hur, Country Head of Woori Bank, Najeeth Miyanage, CEO of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, foreign diplomats, and Walton's Vice-Chairman SM Ashraful Alam, along with Managing Director SM Mahbubul Alam.
According to the organizing committee, the event will showcase environmentally friendly, innovative, and energy-efficient products. Several discussions will also take place on topics such as the progress of the local electronics industry, the importance of innovation, energy-saving technologies, and environmentally sustainable practices in electronic products. Representatives from various industries, renowned researchers, educators, and business leaders will participate in these sessions.
The event also highlights Walton’s massive research and innovation center at Walton Hi-Tech Park in Gazipur, which houses South Asia’s largest research and innovation facility and international standard testing labs like Nasdat-UTS. There, more than 600 skilled engineers—both local and foreign—work on developing energy-efficient, environmentally friendly technologies. They produce over 50,000 high-quality industrial materials, services, and components, many of which are crucial raw materials and components for a wide range of industries in the country.
